There are 33 restricted hunting blocks in Molesworth Recreation Reserve.
A hunting block can be booked no more than 6 months in advance.
You can book a block for a maximum of 7 days.
You cannot have more than 1 booking in a calendar month and no more than 3 bookings in any 6-month period.
You can only book 1 block at a time.
You can only hunt on a restricted hunting block if you have booked it and been issued a hunting permit.
Molesworth Recreation Reserve hunting blocks are in high demand and often book out quickly once they become available.
Following the 2027 roar, a monthly ballot will replace the current system for booking restricted hunting blocks.
Some blocks in June are restricted to chukar hunting only
